How it’s done: Xeomin is injected into the muscle through a syringe, like Botox, and is measured in the same units as Botox. The procedure takes about an hour, and results last for three to six months. It does take about 30 days for final results to be visible.

Complications: Swelling and bruising at the injection site. The most common complications have to do with injection technique, and results appearing in places you do not want them to. It’s important to select an experienced injector.
