brow liftDescription: A brow lift adjusts the position of the brow and smoothes the skin across the forehead. It does not include the eyelids, which is a separate procedure known as an eyelid lift or blepharoplasty.

How it’s done: An incision is made along the hairline and around the ears, and then the brow is surgically lifted and resculpted, resulting in a higher, smoother, and tighter-looking forehead. The procedure takes about three hours.

Complications: Bleeding, hematoma, bruising and itching can occur. There is a small chance of infection, or neurological dysfunction (loss of muscle function or sensation), which is usually temporary, and a widened or thickened scar.

Recovery:  One week, though you should wait a few weeks before resuming any vigorous activity.

Cost: $5,000 to $8,000.
