13 07 endoscopic brow lift

Description: As you age, sagging skin can bring your brows too close to your eyelashes. Elevating the brow can make you look younger, less tired and more relaxed. Minimal scarring exists, thanks to recent advances in cosmetic surgery.

How it's done: A miniscule camera aids the surgeon in making three tiny incisions at the top of the head to lift and secure the skin in place. Endoscopic lifts are superior to (traditional) coronal brow lifts due to the lack of scarring. Depending on any other work you are having done, either a local or a general anesthetic may be used.

Complications: Temporary or rare permanent numbness or weakness of the brow muscle.

Recovery: Ten days to two weeks.

Cost: $7000 to $10,000.
