Face Description: A tummy tuck can eliminate sagging skin around your lower abdomen caused by pregnancy or rapid weight gain and loss.

How it's done: Skin and fat are removed between your belly button and pubic hair. The underlying tissue is tightened and your belly button is repositioned. Because an abdominoplasty is major surgery, you will need a general anesthetic. Expect to wear an abdominal binder for two to six weeks afterward.

Complications: Unusual, although minor problems associated with surgery and anesthesia can occur. Scarring is inevitable, but fades noticeably with time. Numbness in the abdominal area may persist from a few weeks to a few months.

Recovery: Ten to 20 days; no exercise for six weeks.

Cost: $6,000 to $8,000.
