Did you tune into the red carpet action last night? #ICYMI, here are the top beauty looks from the 2017 Grammys red carpet.

The Grammys red carpet was lit last night with metallic numbers, stunning red gowns and lots of leg. Of course, there were a few more risqué and edgy numbers, but overall, skin was in when it came to dress choice.

Top beauty trends on the Grammys red carpet included mile-long, sky-high lashes, statement lips, dark eyeliner, a smokey eye and the no makeup look—glam beauty basics, really. Lady Gaga and Laverne Cox played up their eyes with heavier makeup and cat-eye liner, while Solange Knowles, JLO, Heidi Klum and Celine Dion played it low-key in the makeup category. Nicole Trufnio’s dramatic dark lip at the Grammys red carpet had us swooning, perfectly setting off her fringy, deep purple form-fitting gown.

Red carpet hair trends at the Grammys included long, loose curls (Rihanna), sleek ponytails (Celine Dion) and natural texture (Jill Scott).

But while these were the trends, some red carpet stunners pulled all the stops and had us floored. Here are our favourite Grammy red carpet looks for 2017.

Our Favourite Ageless Beauty Looks from the Grammys 2017 Red Carpet

Solange Knowles, the Red Carpet Trail Blazer

SolangeKnowles

Solange, little sister to Queen Bey, had a huge night at this year’s Grammys for two reasons: 1. She won her first ever Grammy at the age of 30 and 2. Solange also won a place on our red carpet winners list with her head to toe glamazon look. I loved how she worked with the natural texture of her hair and wore the no makeup look to balance out her daring metallic gold Gucci gown with a trendy thigh-high slit. Clearly head to toe glam is a family trait! –AD

Adele, Showing Us Confidence Is Beautiful

Adele

Adele has been thrown plenty of shade in the past, but this girl has happiness in her heart and she was owning the Grammys red carpet last night in green Givenchy. The 28-year-old vocalist’s fun-loving nature and infectious laughter led to some gorgeous snaps of her enjoying every moment of it. Babylights and balayage gave her hair dimension and youthfulness. With loose, upswept curls, a pale pink lip, a gorgeous rosy glow and her signature eyeliner, Adele made beauty look easy and fun. –ET

Lady in Red Faith Hill

FaithHill

At 43, Faith Hill is simply an ageless beauty. Everything from her flawless scarlet lip, understated waves, glowing skin and unconventional red gown emanated perfection. Her form-fitting long-sleeved gown with a subtle keyhole cutout, showed off just a touch of skin proving that a classy look never disappoints. Although red gowns were quite common on the red carpet (Carrie Underwood and Arianna Grande also wore long, red dresses), Hill’s form-fitting dress had a contemporary simplicity about it that allowed her killer body and natural beauty to show. –AD

Laverne Cox with the Best Body-Hugging Number

Lavernecox

Laverne Cox’s Grammys red carpet beauty look was bolder than we tend to lean toward, but the 32-year-old actress tends to go for the bold and we love her for it. While her daring graphic and bedazzled eye makeup made her gorgeous eyes pop, her black Bryan Hearns dress' cutouts and chain details perfectly showed off her 5’11” figure. It takes real confidence to wear a dress this revealing yet sophisticated. –ET

Red Carpet Queen Celine Dion

celinedion

This Canadian beauty caught our eye in her colourful boho number when she was boarding her plane on the way to the Grammys, but it was her emerald Zuhair Murad gown that captured our full attention. At 48 and with seven Grammy wins, Dion is a veteran on the Grammys red carpet and it truly shows. The plunging neckline, structured shoulders, belted waist, thigh-high slit and back cutout accents her figure in the most flattering ways. Paired with a subtle copper metallic eye, dark long lashes and sleek pony, Dion hit all the Grammys red carpet trends this year. –ET

All-Time Favourite Jennifer Lopez

jlo

Lopez has always made a statement on the red carpet (How can you not remember that green dress from 2000?), but have you noticed that as she has gotten older, her red carpet appearances are breathtaking in a good way, rather than “OMG, was that her ____ showing?” At 47, Lopez made jaws drop with her long, flowing lilac gown that beautifully complemented her caramel skin, sleek highlighted hair and fresh-faced makeup. Her long gorgeous legs, thigh-high slit (on trend, of course), plunging neckline and ever-youthful face define body goals. All hail JLo! –AD
