The stunning strawberry-blonde, Laura Dern, returns to the big screen in the blockbuster The Fault in Our Stars. Born to two Hollywood stars (Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd), Dern landed her first acting job at the age of 13 and appeared in silver-screen classics like The Mask, Jurassic Park and October Sky. A seasoned pro on the red carpet, Dern looked flawless at the 2014 Golden Globes. Our experts provide tips on how you can recreate her luxurious look.

SKIN: Laura looks fresh and rejuvenated! Most of the changes are mid-face and periorbital. Certainly there are fillers in the cheeks ($575 to $850), which are nicely blended into the lower eye circles and temples. Compared to earlier images I’ve seen of her, where there is a lot of lateral upper eyelid hooding, it appears there’s been an upper blepharoplasty ($3,500) done. Finally, her skin benefits from some laser resurfacing procedures ($600 to $3,000) since its thinness requires maintenance to appear fresh and void of fine wrinkles.

SMILE: Laura is confident with her natural smile, and it appears that she has not had any cosmetic dentistry done—that includes straightening or whitening her teeth.  If Laura chooses to improve her smile, she would have several options: First, Laura could achieve better alignment of her teeth and a fuller smile by straightening her teeth and widening the arches with Invisalign ($5,000 to $7,000), which would take about six to 12 months. She could also benefit from having her teeth whitened ($500).

MAKEUP: Laura’s complexion is always flawless. I love the Ultra Foundation by Face Atelier ($48, faceatelier.com). The formula goes on so smoothly and evenly for glowing, gorgeous skin that lasts all day. To get your eyes to pop, the Big Beautiful Eyes palette by Benefit Cosmetics ($38, Murale) is fantastic. The shadows are simply stunning; apply the lightest colour to the inner corners of the eyes. The palette comes with a mirror, instructions and brushes. Bonus: Concealer is included as well. Love Nectar Lustreglass by M.A.C ($18, M.A.C counters) is the perfect shade to finish off this look.
