Its TIFF 2016, so until September 18 the city will be buzzing with celebrity sightings, festival parties and movie screenings where VIPs are dressed to the nines and fresh looking from head to toe. We went behind the scenes and got to check out some of the celebrity TIFF lounges where we know A-listers will be getting pampered with gifts, beautifying treatments and top rated fashion brands. Here’s our round up of some the most coveted treatments and beauty products of the 2016 TIFF season.

1. Flawless Skin with Skinceuticals

One thing we clearly value here at Elevate is beautiful skin and Skinceuticals skin care products allow us to achieve just that, as all of the line's formulas are chock full of active ingredients so you're giving your skin the TLC and nutrients it needs with each application. This year at the EGPR TIFF Essentials Lounge 7 celebrities and VIPS are being gifted the cult fave Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Antioxidant Serum, a powerful serum with brightening Vitamin C, enriching Vitamin E and ferulic acid to fight off free radicals and the Skinceuticals Physical Matte UV Defence SPF 50 to help protect A-listers from the UV rays as they scour the city from preview to preview. These two products are two of my personal favourites because they work effectively in keeping the skin healthy and beautiful looking.

2. Rice powder infused hair care from KMS California

Also at the EGPR Essentials Lounge KMS California stylists created effortless looking waves in my hair through the help of two amazing products that harness the power of rice powder and a large barrel curling iron. To begin we used the KMS California Hair Play Makoeover Spray a dry shampoo that refreshes the hair of built up oils, while also adding volume back into the hair when sprayed into the roots. Next the stylist used the curling iron to create soft waves. The key to creating an undone look is to curl peices of the hair without curling the ends, which can look too perfect. To finish off the look I was given a spritz of KMS California Hair Play Dry Wax to keep the style in place without giving that crunchy feeling. The two products are now in my current rotation because they help make my daily styling easier!  Celebrities and VIPs got a similar styling experience and a personalised product reccomendation based on their personal needs.

3. Beautiful Manicures from CND

Meanwhile at the Tastemaker's Lounge CND provided  Shellac manicures, a gel manicure with 14 day wear or more depending on how fast your nails grow or manicures using CND Vinylux, a 7-day wear polish to attendees. CND highlighted their holiday collection in particular to give VIPs a preview of what colours of shellac and Vinylux they can get done at the salon when the holiday season hits. The CND Starstuck holiday collection features six jewel toned shades inspired by Old Hollywood, making the collection very topically appropriate for TIFF 2016!

4. A Tightened Tummy with Sculpsure

At the NKPR IT House we got a sneak peek of the newest non-invasive fat reduction technology that Dr. Sean Rice offers at his practice called SculpSure. Approved by Health Canada for reduction of fat in the abodomen and love handles, SculpSure is a light based technology that heats the fat inbetween  43 to 46 degrees celsius encouraging the fat cells to die and be drained into the lymphatic system. Each treatment only takes 25 minutes to do and for best results Dr. Rice recommends that patients get two treatments six weeks apart, as this gives time for the fat to be fully absorbed by the body's lymphatic system.  Each treatment costs $1000.

5. Beauty Concierge Services

Each year Shoppers Drug Mart hosts a TIFF Suite featuring beautifying treatments for infuencers, tv hosts and other VIPs and this year's suite hosted at the Spoke Club didn't dissapoint. For those who were unable to attend the suite (for example me), we were treated to concierge treatments at home.  Thanks to Shoppers Drug Mart I was treated to a beautiful professional makeup applications by stila, a St. Tropez custom skin finishing treatments by New York's celebrity tanning expert Sophie Evans, an undone bun updo using PHYTO Paris hair styling products and a beautiful manicure from Shoppers Drug Mart spokesperson and Tips Nail Artist Melissa Forrest in a refreshing shade of pink by Seche. My favourite treatement: The St. Tropez spray tan service. My skin is naturally dark so I am always weary of faux tanners, but Evans used the St. Tropez Luxe Dry Oil to give me a refreshing glow in a beautiful bronze shade. To maintain my tan I'll be using the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Lotion. Although you can get the treatment done professionaly like I did, St. Tropez makes it easy by selling the same tanning products at Shoppers Drug Mart so you can also do it yourself.

6. Lash Extensions from NovaLash

Last, but not least, NOVALASH Eyelash Extensions have been a coveted treatment by many tastemakers and A-listers this TIFF season because they are a lash extension service that has a very natural looking result and features a unique adhesive that is entirely oil resistant. Rather, NOVALASH Eyelash Extensions (unlike other extensions) are oil loving allowing users to experience fuller lashes for a longer period of time. The application of the extensions takes about two hours and lasts for a total of six weeks if you  allow them to fall out, or should be maintained at three to four weeks. The lash technician will select three different lengths of extensions to apply at the same time in order to account for the three stages of growth that your natural lashes are in and to provide a more appealing result. This treatment costs anywhere from $150 to $350 for a full set, while maintenance at four weeks  costs between $100 to  $200.
